An exhibition of unique, stunning, intimate photos from Sudan.
Melton resident, and Sudanese Australian, Angelo returned with extraordinary images from his recent trip back to his home village in Sudan.
Angelo's deeply personal photo tour into Sudan's 'Heart of Darkness' is driven by the murder of his brother and the desire to help his family.
Angelo's photos depict him being held hostage, attacked and caught in the middle of a major gun battle in which scored of people were killed.
The photos capture emotional and graphic images of Angelo's Dinka tribe as they struggle with inter-tribal conflict, the theft of their cattle and resultant poverty and hunger, together with outbursts of joyous celebrations at his return.
